Guild it up, Kn-orc it down.

Yes, it's me again with another pun-tastic post title.

It's been a busy old week with lots happening in a couple of games, as well as the real world. I've got my Christmas decorations up at home, started to wrap presents and write cards, and I've also found a little time for gaming too.

I have been playing something I'm not allowed to talk about. When the NDA drops I'll fill you in, but until then you'll just have to keep guessing.

In Everquest 2 I have now found and joined an awesome guild, Acolytes of Valor. It's a great bunch of folks (even if they insist on spelling "valour" incorrectly!) who have made me very welcome, I'm sure in great part due to the fact that my brother is their raid leader.

Still, they have some great people and some amazing resources, being a level 90 guild with an incredible tier 3 guild house. The new Frostfell decorations they have been working on look fantastic, as can be seen by the screenshot below which shows Merecraft and Udrath sitting on the sleigh.

Merry Frostfell from Norrath!

In my own house in New Halas I have begun work on a new aquarium, and I'll be posting screenshots and my thoughts on housing in EQ2 in a future post.

Finally, I ran through Deathfyst Citadel with Tijd and Udrath last night. It was again interesting to see the changes since I was last there some three-and-a-half years ago. There are a few more quests to pick up on the run round now, and the Fyst battle is considerably easier than it once was. The three of us managed to complete it without any real difficulty, despite it being on-level. Regardless it was a lot of fun and I have a shiny new sword. I do need to buy Udrath a new watch for Christmas though - he said the run through DFC would take 45 minutes and it took almost four hours! Next up we'll be searching for Hadden's earring.

  1. Haha, I had a great time in there with you guys! Thanks for the fun..and as for the time, I had forgotten that the last time I ran it was with Voltaan mentored down and I was pulling whole levels of mobs, which is why that didn't take long. Whoops, sorry ;) Was a load of fun though.

  2. Oh, and AoV made you welcome coz they are genuinely a lovely bunch of folks, and knowing me is a handicap not a helping hand. Just ask Sj ;) That reminds me, I really must run some raids again for the AoV family. It's been too long with me concentrating on other things.
