Story time

Gah, it's so frustrating! Civilization V had been sitting on my pc for a few days now and I still can't play it! The game has been available in the US since yesterday but doesn't unlock in Europe until Friday! Curse you Sid Meier! The game looks great (currently sitting at 91% review score on Metacritic) and having been a massive fan of the other games in the series I really can't wait to get started. Oh well.

In bizzaro-news of the week it seems there is a Michael Jackson MMO in development called Planet Michael. Seems a bit tacky to me. It's like April Fools day 7 months early.

Right, on to the main reason for this post...

I've been busy writing some roleplay background for my Age of Conan character, Udrath (*coughs* thanks bro!). Unfortunately the stories are all hidden in the private Clan Koragg guild forums, so for anyone who is interested in this kind of thing here are some links to public versions of the story.

Part 1
In which Udrath returns home to Cimmeria after a long journey in distant lands searching for his son.

Part 2
In which our hero finds a surprise awaiting him on his return, and discovers some old friends.

Part 3
Udrath waits in ambush for a mysterious quarry, reminiscing over the reasons he has been searching for his long lost son.

Part 4
A tale of youthful foolishness as Udrath remembers the first time he laid eyes on his wife, Floriadh.

The story isn't finished yet, but I'll keep this post updated as new chapters get written. Hope you enjoy!

  1. Planet Michael? You have got to be kidding me. I want to wait for the Rod Stewart MMO, or maybe the Barbara Streisand one :P

Looking forward to reading Udraths adventures during my break!
